Good hotel and good value for the money. Its location is superb, the Union square is next to the hotel and all the places are nearby. Also, the public transport stops are near. I recommend this place for everyone and I would come here again.

Staff were lovely and helpful (David, Amy, gentleman from Honk Kong, pregnant lady to name a few!). Just felt at home there and did return for one last night. Impressive building too. Thank you so much for your hospitality:)

Location - much better than I expected. I was worried it was a little too close to the area I had been told to avoid, but in fact was very nice (next to union square) and was very convenient to travel around the city. Room - Large room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Hotel - lovely building with great interiors. Very atmospheric/ historic

Excellent hotel in a great location to explore San Francisco. Friendly staff with a warm welcome. Rooms clean tidy with plenty of room.Bathroom well equipped and more than adequate. Coffee / Tea in reception with biscuits and brownies was a nice touch. Would highly recommend to stay here....thanks

Excellent location just around the corner from Union Square (1 block) and Powell Street cable car start (turn around 2 blocks). China town was a 15/20 minute walk. The rooms were clean and comfortable
